Amber A. Homolka
Amber is an estate planning and probate attorney who handles all aspects of succession planning and estate administration. Her goal as an estate planner is to give clients peace of mind by effectuating their testamentary wishes. In a probate or estate administration, simplifying matters for executors, trustees and grieving family members so that they can focus less on legal administration issues and more on family and personal healing at the time of bereavement.
Amber was raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She brings convivial candor and warmth to the estate planning process, traits she learned growing up in a small town. Amber relishes learning about her clients’ families – both human and animal. Her favorite part of law practice is meeting talented people from all walks of life and listening to their stories.
Amber is well equipped to weigh in on income tax consequences of transactions and wealth transfers, having begun her career as a tax consultant in private client services at a Big Four accounting firm and a Wall Street investment bank. She has taken and passed three bar exams and holds licenses in Texas, Louisiana and Georgia. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., 2001) and Louisiana State University Law Center (J.D., 2004). She is committed to lifelong learning in the practice, as evidence by her membership in the Texas Bar College, a society of legal scholars.
When she is not working, she prefers to be active in the outdoors.
